Some assemblage sculptures that I am reworking into updated, new lives as they become elements of  various digital collage/illustration projects. As usual, each piece is simply a visual record of things and events which took place in the secret world beyond our own...of this I can say no more!

Premiere of First Dieselpunk Work

Yay, so I am back from the MileHiCon 43 Science Fiction Convention art show in Denver, where my full size (12 x18) premiere of Dieselpunk work sold right out of the gate! Sniff, and I was getting attached too...the sucker took me about 45 hours to complete! Not easy when you have a full time day job, raising a family, blah blah. Though the 12 x 18 (modestly framed) is in an edition of forty, I will only have those available through shows. Online (Etsy, etc) I have created  a series of smaller prints (image reduced + cropped) from the full size...here is a low resolution peek at one of those versions. Pulp Practice

This poster was a study I put together spoofing the old 50's/60's Science Fiction movies. It is a digital collage intended for learning/practicing putting together the visual elements and saturated illustration styles of that type of pop culture images. In this case it was in the context of (again, lampoon of) a "political" statement. I was hoping to see if I could discover what it was that made those posters and pulp covers look/feel the way they did in regards to the viewer. I was basically happy with how it turned out. Note that this learning project/image uses materials that are copyrighted by their respective owners and were used solely for educational purposes.

New Illustration

Messages From The Permian :  A mysterious electromechanical object materializes into the midst of a struggling writer's studio, and begins emitting what sounds like a radio distress signal...but where did it come from and who is doing the sending? This collage includes transmogrified photography of one of my assemblage sculptures along with other manipulated objects and painted imagery.
